H-1B Visas are the primary USA work permit and are for skilled Internationals wanting to live and work on a long term basis, in the US. |
 |
| |
Unlike the E-3 where individuals apply for the own Visa, the H-1B Visa can only be applied for by the sponsoring employer. The H-1B Visa is typically issued for an initial 3 year period and is renewable. |
 |
| |
The H-1B entitles your spouse (husband/wife) and children (under 21) to accompany you and live in the USA on an H-4 visa. However, the H-4 dependent Visa does not allow your spouse/children to work. |
| |
To be eligible, you must: |
| |
» Be offered a role by a company that is willing to sponsor you under the H-1B Visa scheme |
| |
